I denne artikel:
At Dstny, we do not offer the option to reuse a SIM card when a mobile number is transferred to a new user, for the following reasons:
Data security
The old SIM card may contain personal information such as contacts, messages, and call data from the previous user. Even after deletion, there is a risk that data can be recovered.
Risk of misuse
If the SIM card has not been fully reset, remnants of access credentials may remain, which could lead to unauthorized use or security issues.
IT systems do not support SIM card reuse
The underlying IT systems at the network operator do not support reusing a SIM card, which means the process becomes cumbersome and manual. This significantly increases the risk of errors, as there is no way to automate the process.
Configuration errors
A reused SIM card may have previous settings or network configurations that do not suit the new user. This can lead to problems with the mobile connection or services.
Compatibility
Older SIM cards may not be compatible with newer devices or network technologies, such as 5G+, IoT, eSIM, which can limit functionality.
It is always recommended to use a new SIM card when a phone number is taken over by a new user, to maintain data security and ensure optimal functionality.
It is possible to order extra SIM cards via kundeservice@dstny.dk or on our self-service site https://my.dstny.dk, which you can keep in stock for when you get new employees or in the event that a mobile phone is lost.
It is of course also possible to order an eSIM via https://my.dstny.dk
